Like its predecessor, Grey Defence®XTREME is a grey hair pill formulated for healthy individuals. Also similarly, it does not work for everyone. It was not formulated for those who are greying due to a genetic malfunction or thyroid disorder. Grey Defence® formulation was arrived at through a combination of comparative research, computer simulation and small-scale in-house human testing to verify results and attributes against targeted outcomes.

Grey Defence® is a dietary supplement not a drug, whose foundation is an outgrowth of several clinical studies on greying hair and the ‘internal bleaching’ that occurs as we age due to a build up of hydrogen peroxides in the hair follicle. Grey Defence® contains specific nutritional antioxidants that have been shown to reduce hydrogen peroxide levels and restore the hair’s natural color. Most importantly, the science has been backed up by our users own experiences as outline in this review.

Grey Defence®XTREME was formulated (like the original) to assist in the reversal of greying due to hydrogen peroxide build-up caused by oxidative stress. This is the type of greying most of us suffer from and it is closely related to the process of aging as well as living under continual stress.

The key metric we wanted to improve upon with Grey Defence®XTREME was the time it took for a user to see REALLY dramatic results. As a result, almost all the changes discussed below are geared towards that single goal. 1. Research has shown that powdered ingredients, when taken orally have a lower bioavailability ratio (around 24%) as compared to liquid (greater than 80%). Therefore to increase the amount of physical ingredients that gets absorbed into your body we have liquefied the ingredients. So each Grey Defence®XTREME capsule contains a liquid mixture instead of the current powdered mixture. This means – all things being equal – four to five times more ingredients will be absorbed into your body with Grey Defence®XTREME as compared to the original Grey Defence®.
2. Catalase is an important ingredient in the Grey Defence® formula and with 9,000 Catalase enzyme units per serving, Grey Defence® had the highest concentration of Catalase than any of our competitors. However our research analysis and simulations indicated that if we wanted to meet our 6-month target, then 9,000 CAT/units was not nearly enough. The new Grey Defence®XTREME contain at least 42,000 enzyme units per serving an almost five-fold increase.
3. Grey Defence® targets greying due to oxidative stress, this means free radicals are the starting point of cell degradation. The original Grey Defence® did not directly address free radicals, however Grey Defence®XTREME takes on free radical head-on with the addition of Pterostilbene, a compound that has been clinically shown to fight free radicals.
4. Some of our valued customers had difficulty swallowing the original Grey Defence® capsules due to their size. To address this we made sure that all our ingredients had little or no filler material, making them more concentrated. With these optimizations, we were able to achieve a 12% capsule size reduction. We hope to continue with future reduction in capsule size as better tooling for smaller capsules become available.
5. To improve intracellular absorption of the vitamins and amino acids in the Grey Defence®XTREME formula, we added the ingredient Astragalus membranaceous and Panax Notoginseng extract. The combined extract has been shown to increase the cellular uptake of vitamins and amino acids by as much as 52%.
6. Finally we decided to increase our money back guarantee from the current 60 days to 6-months for all orders delivered on or after November 1, 2012.
